Dear Parent/Carer,

As we approach the half term break, can I take the opportunity to thank you for all your support over the past seven weeks.  It has been an immensely successful start to the new academic year.  We have seen standards continue to rise in all areas across the Academy.  We have enjoyed so many rewarding events such as the Celebration of Achievement Evening and the Year 6 Taster Days and we have welcomed more new staff and pupils into the Dean Trust family of schools.

Our pupils are meeting with the high expectations of the school on a daily basis and are flourishing in a variety of ways, both academically and through our enrichment programmes. Over the coming months I am particularly looking forward to the launch of our Pupil Parliament –which will enhance our superb House System and also will also further develop pupil leadership across the school.

I wish you all a peaceful and relaxing half term holiday.  Pupils have been spoken to about staying safe as Halloween and Bonfire Night approach.  Please reinforce these key messages at home.

With kind regards.

V Gowan,
Headteacher
